The painting of the frame is a meticulous process as the beauty and the refinement of the product depends on this phase.   Formigli has created a method for painting that requires time and patience in so much as it is completed entirely by hand without the use of mechanization To determine the design and color of a frameset, Formigli studies the frame, its image, and color pallets. The final product is a work of art that is uniquely Formigli.

ANY FORMIGLI FRAME CAN BE PAINTED TO YOUR CUSTOM COLOR DESIGN.

Stages of painting a Formigli frame:
1 ° The frame is sanded with light sandpaper, to remove impurities from the frame.

 2 ° A substance is painted on the frame in order to smooth the surface of the frame.

3 ° The frame is scrutinized for any small imperfections and bits of a substance like putty is applied to any points of imperfection, then the frame is sanded again lightly with sandpaper.

4 ° A substance is now applied to the frame that serves to make the paint adhere perfectly.

5 ° The paint is applied, creating the patterns of colors on the frame.

7 ° Decals are applied and the frame is left to dry for about 7 hours.

8 ° The varnish is applied to give the effect of brightness and shine to the frame.

At this point, a thorough quality check is performed, and the Formigli frame is ready to be delivered to the customer.
